Lasting Policy Review

Write for us

Lasting Policy Review welcomes clear, original pitches that help general readers understand how public policy is formed, carried out or reconsidered. Contributions should explain a process or choice rather than campaign for a preferred outcome.

Ideas we welcome

We are interested in policy design, institutional roles, implementation, evaluation and the language of public debate. A useful contribution might unpack a confusing distinction, trace the stages behind a decision, or show why a policy aim and its delivery are not the same thing. Pitches should have a defined reader question and a clear scope.

What makes a strong pitch

Tell us the proposed angle, why it matters to a general reader, the main points you would explain and what information the piece would rely on. Flag specialist terms, contested claims and any limits to what the article could establish. We welcome plain, precise prose and examples that illuminate a process without being mistaken for universal rules.

Sending a proposal

Send your proposal through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Please include a short outline and a brief note on your relevant experience or perspective. Do not send confidential, sensitive or unpublished personal material. A pitch is not a promise of publication, and no staff names or credentials are implied by this invitation.

Our point of view

A policy is a process, not a headline.

We look beyond announcements to the decisions and follow-through that give public policy its shape. The aim is to make the process legible without pretending every question has one easy answer.
